Co-working spaces can be a great option for small businesses who don’t want the overhead of a full office or for solopreneurs who work from home, but can feel isolated. So, should you join a co-working space? You may want to consider the Benefits of Co-Working Spaces and a membership to one.

I was recently talking to a friend of mine who’s an entrepreneur and actor who’s on location out of the country. He was complaining that he hasn’t been able to work effectively between being on set and the Airbnb he’s been living in. So I suggested that he looked at co-working spaces where you can rent by the hour in some cases, and he had no idea that anyone – any business of any size – could do this!

Benefits of Co-Working Spaces

So I decided to make a video to share why flexible workspaces are taking over for entrepreneurs and even larger companies with over 35,000 flexible workspaces available across the world. WeWork is probably one of the best known co-working spaces with hundreds of locations across the globe. Like many co working spaces, they offer flexible options as far as membership, including an occasional seat in one of their open spaces, a dedicated office, and even shared workspaces. As an added benefit, they offer lots of perks like food and snacks, networking events and more.

If you don’t need a membership at a dedicated work spot or co-working space, LiquidSpace offers the ability to book conference rooms or workspaces by the hour across the globe. You can easily search their site for spaces available in many cities, and further filter them based on your needs like Wi Fi, coffeemakers, parking and more. After you’ve entered your criteria — similar to Airbnb — LiquidSpace will give you a list of everything that matches your needs and a map of where they are located with general pricing. You can click through to view more information, availability and pricing — and book on the spot.

As entrepreneurs, it can be tempting to work from home but it’s often uninspiring and isolating. Co-working spaces give you the flexibility to rent space as you need it, but also give you the opportunity to network, be in a fun environment and get inspiration from others.
