When you build a website, basically 10 times out of 10, the purpose is to generate leads and or sales in some form or fashion. Whether you are an online or offline retailer, a solopreneur, a small business or a large corporation, it’s essential to create a website that is effective in converting web visitors to people who want to do business with you in some form or fashion.?

I’ve covered how to drive the right traffic to your website previously, but getting the right potential customer to your website is just the first step, what they do?after?landing on your page is just as important as getting there.?

In a series of three posts and videos, I’m sharing some of my favorite strategies and tools – beyond good content and a site that performs well – to convert web visitors into customers.?

You’ve probably seen tools like ProveSource before, which brings the power of Social Proof to your website and allows you to place a widget on your website alerting new visitors about actions other visitors are taking on your site, special offers and more. The ProveSource interface allows you to create a variety of widgets based on actions people can take on your website such as what they’re looking at, what products they’ve bought, downloads and how many active users you’ve had at the moment.

Customizing the widget is simple through their interface, and you can select a variety of criteria to display and specific URLs to display them on. The reporting function allows you to look at actions taken over certain periods of time, how many people visited how many people took action on your widgets, and where you can see information captured where your visitors are from and what time they took action.

Implementing the widgets on your website is simple. They offer short codes and integrations with most website platforms so you can be up and running within a few minutes so you can bring social proof to your site and covert web visitors to customers.?
